The legal representative of the minor patient will have access to intensive care and resuscitation units outside the program of visits as well, including at night. In this case, the consent of the unit’s head will be required, or of the resuscitator on guard, if the first is absent. This is provided in the regulations approved by the Ministry of Health, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry, the minors younger than three will be permanently accompanied by one of the family members. In the case of elder children, the adults’ access will depend on the possibilities of the medical institution. If the child is an orphan or his parents are abroad, the members of the family or the guardian will be able to visit this.

The legal representative will be obliged to put on a medical gown, headgear, a mask and disposable shoe covers. On the first visit, this will get the necessary equipment from the medical institution. The medical personnel will also make sure that the visitors disinfect their hands.

The legal representative will be obliged to sign an agreement to pledge to obey the access and behavioral rules in intensive care and resuscitation unit and not to reveal information about the state of health of other patients and not to take pictures or film.

The medical personnel will deny access to legal representatives who will be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, will be aggressive and will show signs of infectious diseases and can also ban adults from witnessing pediatric resuscitation procedures.

The refusal to allow access to intensive care and resuscitation units will be provided in written form within 24 hours.
