Penitentiary guards to learn new models of preparing inmates for liberation

In February employees of six Moldovan jails and five remand centers attend a workshop on preparing inmates for liberation, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the press service of the Penal Reform Institute. The workshop is meant to train them to plan the punishment for the social integration of the inmates, assisting and advising them, employing them after being set free. The Moldovan Employment Agency's representatives will also expose their view as to this process, reads a communique of the Institute. Re-establishing the relationship with the family is also a facet of the program preparing the inmates for liberation. The workshops take place on Thursday and Fridays in Turist hotel and are part of a project dealing with the social re-integration of former prisoners, implemented by the Institute with the financial support of SIDA and of the Soros Foundation-Moldova.
