The Government has today approved adjustments to the state budget for the current year. The budget will be supplemented by eight billion lei. The funds will be used to reduce energy costs, develop infrastructure and support economic agents, IPN reports.
3.66 billion lei are earmarked for increasing energy resilience. From this money compensation will be granted to households and economic agents, while local public authorities will also benefit from resources to reduce the impact of higher electricity tariffs.
Measures to implement the Economic Growth Plan for the Republic of Moldova total 3.8 billion lei. One billion lei will be added to the Road Fund and the National Fund for Regional and Local Development, from which local roads will be rehabilitated as a priority.
At the same time, 200 million lei will be directed to the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment; to support small and medium-sized enterprises; and to renovate and equip food blocks in schools.
300 million lei will be allocated to ensure the provisions of the regulatory framework on salaries in the budgetary sector.
100 million lei will be transferred to the National Environmental Fund.
"The +Plus budget is designed in such a way to ensure economic growth and to continue to support the population. This budget allocation is possible only thanks to the support of our friends: European Union, EU member countries," Prime Minister Dorin Recean told a press conference.
The draft law amending the 2025 state budget law is to be submitted to the Parliament on Friday.
