A clandestine workshop for making children’s clothes was found in Botanica district of Chisinau. The police established that the personnel didn’t have work contracts and health insurance. Raw material without documents of origin was found in the production section. It was used to make bed linen and clothes for children that were supplied to markets and stores in Chisinau, IPN reports.
The administrator of the workshop cold not present the documents required for running such a business. According to the preliminary findings, the raw material was brought illegally from the Transnistrian region. The police confiscated goods ready for sale to the value of over 200,000 lei.
The charges of illegal entrepreneurial activity and tax evasion carry a penalty of 40,000 to 60,000 lei or up to three years’ imprisonment.
