Premier seeks maximum mobilization of police

Prime Minister Vlad Filat ordered that the police mobilize and concentrate their efforts on the investigation of the serious crimes committed in Moldova recently, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Government.
The Premier demanded that the prosecution bodies and the institutions responsible for combating organized crime actively involve in this process. Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubco said that there were created special working groups that analyze all the aspects of these cases. The Ministry of the Interior increased the number of police patrols that work to maintain public order in the country.
Vlad Filat called a meeting with heads of law enforcement bodies following a number of serious crimes committed in Moldova. On March 29, two sisters aged 14 and 16 were attacked by a group of people from Zarnesti village, Cahul. They had been maltreated at a sheepfold during two days and then killed and buried in a field. A 15-year-old girl and her boyfriend aged 18 were found dead in a car in Durlesti town on the night of April 1. They were shot in the head. Two weeks earlier, a young man and his lover were discovered dead in a car near Nisporeni. They were also shot.
