The preparation of the housing sock of Chisinau for the cold season continues. In the August 8 meeting of officials of Chisinau services and divisions, Petru Gontea, head of the General Public Amenities Division, said the works to clean and wash the engineering systems were over 50% carried out, IPN reports.
Gontea stated the cleaning works are to be completed by mid-September. The situation concerning roof repair remains more difficult. The tender contest to choose contractors was held, but the business entities that offered the lowest price asked that the results should be annulled. Discussions are now being held. If a consensus is not reached, they will go to court.
As regards the cleanup works, Petru Gontea said these are executed at a normal pace. During the last three weeks, the waste collection process was more difficult because the garbage trucks were involved in cleaning and laying out works in Tantareni village, but the problem was overcome.
