Prices of oil, fruit and vegetables up in March. Eggs and fuel cheaper

Average consumer prices in March 2025 rose by 0.6% compared to February 2025. Against December last year, the increase is 3.7 percent, IPN reports, with reference to data of the National Bureau of Statistics.

According to the Bureau, compared to March last year, the average consumer prices grew by 8.8%. The price increase was influenced by the over 1.5% rise in food prices and the about 0.6% rise in services provided to the population.

Sharp price increases during only one month, from February to March, were witnessed in the case of vegetables – by 7.8%, fruit – by 6.2% and vegetable oil – by 4.0%.

In March, chicken eggs prices decreased by 10.5% and sugar prices fell by 0.2%. Also, fuel prices declined by 2.6%.

The average consumer prices of non-food products decreased by 0.3% in March.
