The Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), in cooperation with the Embassy of Slovakia in Moldova, on Tuesday launched a project to monitor the implementation of Moldova's Association Agreement with the EU, IPN reports.
Iulian Groza, IPRE program coordinator, told a press conference that the project aims to increase public awareness of the importance of this act for Moldova.
The public will be informed in a language as simple as possible about the progress made in implementing the Agreement, through statistical data and information bulletins covering the most important aspects.
Victor Lutenco, IPRE executive director, stated that the notions of “democracy” and “pro-European” have come to take on a negative connotation among the general public. “People, struggling with inflation, have built a sort of curtain out of these notions. They take revenge on words. Our project's goal is to change attitudes by providing correct information”, said Victor Lutenco.
IPRE professes to be an apolitical organization. Its creation was announced by the team of the People's European Party, headed by the former PM Iurie Leanca.
