There are signals that the protest mounted in the Great National Assembly Square of Chisinau was monopolized for being used for particular purposes. Such a statement was made in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
Vitalia Pavlichenko, who heads the National Liberal Party, said the leaders of the Platform “Dignity and Truth” want to obtain political benefits through the agency of the protesting people. “Initially, we protested quietly for several times within the demonstrations staged by the Platform. But they openly showed that they are against the unionists. I don’t see why those from the Platform should not protest together with Dodon and Usatyi. I think those from the Platform pursue other goals,” she stated.
Corneliu Ciurea, expert of the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives “Viitorul”, said both the Platform “Dignity and Truth” and those of the Party of Socialists and “Our Party” aim to gain political benefits. “When a change is wanted, the opposition must unite. The opposition is now represented by two very different groups that have the same demands. These want only to score political points,” he stated.
Journalist Ion Terguta considers the leaders of the Platform “Dignity and Truth” and of the Party of Socialists and “Our Party” pursue different aims even if they have the same demands. “In case of early elections, the Platform will lose as it is inferior to the two parties from institutional and organizational viewpoints,” he said.
