Public health center opened in Mandresti

A new public health center was inaugurated in Mandresti, Telenesti. It is the 78th center renovated within the Health Services and Social Assistance Project, with the financial support of the World Bank, IPN reports.

Attending the event, Minister of Health Andrei Usatyi said the project was a successful one. Emphasis is put on the family doctors and on bringing the medical institutions closer to the people’s needs. In the near future, the center will be outfitted with modern equipment.

Telenesti district head Boris Burca said the health of the people from the district is one of the objectives of the local public authorities.

Mayor of Mandresti Tudor Suiu said that the village hasn’t benefited from such financial support for many years. The provided financial resources enabled them to build the health center from the foundations. He thanked the persons who didn’t remain indifferent to the people’s needs.

The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vlad Filat expressed his satisfaction with the fact that the project, which started on November 15, 2012 when he was a Premier, was completed and the people will benefit from medical services of a high quality. “We want to have good living conditions at home. We want medical services of a high quality, good roads and good water. In order to succeed, we need to mobilize. We also need good people in the local public administration,” he stated.

The public health center will serve over 10,000 people from seven settlements: Mandresti, Ghiliceni, Ciulucani, Codrul, Caslea, Cucioaia, and Zgardesti.
