Registration of candidates in Chisinau starts at 1pm

April 18 is the first day when the candidates for mayor general of Chisinau and for seats on the Chisinau Council can file documents to be registered as runners in the June 5 local elections. The documents can be submitted to the Chisinau District Electoral Council from 1pm. The Council’s deputy chairman Cristina Boaghi has told Info-Prim Neo that Monday is an exception. During the other days until May 5, the applications can be lodged from 9am until 1pm. The candidates will be registered according to the first come, first served principle. If more than one applicant comes the same day, the order in which the candidates will be written in ballots will be decided by draw, as in the legislative elections. A draw will be held towards the end of every day. On Monday, April 18, the draw is set to start at 4pm.
