The renovated bridge from near Palanca, which connects Moldova and Urine, is to be officially opened on June 1, IPN reports.
The Ukrainian press reported that the resistance of the bridge built in the 1960s was tested. Sixteen bulldozers weighing together 360 tonnes crossed it. According to the governor of Odessa region Maxim Stepanov, everyone will be able to use the renovated bridge as of June 1.
A sum of 112 million Ukrainian hryvnas from the region’s budget was spent on the extensive renovation of the bridge.
The circulation on the bridge near Palanca was stopped three years ago as this was seriously damaged.
