Rescuers have put up anti-heat rehabilitation tents in the five districts of Chisinau and in the municipalities of Balti, Cahul and Comrat. The people can go there to drink water and to protect themselves from the sun, IPN reports.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the anti-heat tents will be available between 11am and 6pm daily. These were pitched in places with a large number of people.
In Botanica district, the tent was put up on Dacia Blvd, near the shopping center “1 000 trifle things”; in Centru district – near the Central Market; in Rascani district – near the market “Matei Basarab”; in Buiucani district – at 1 Calea Iesilor St, while in Ciocana district – at 18 Ginta Latina St.
Weather forecasters issued a yellow code warning for heat for June 12-16. The temperatures are expected to rise to 34 degrees Celsius, mainly in the central and southern districts of Moldova.
