The Academy of Sciences of Moldova is staging the Researchers Night within which everyone can become researcher for a nigh. This is the first event of the kind organized in Moldova. It will take place in the Academy’s building on September 27, starting at 4pm. Access is free.

Elena Zamsa, deputy head of the Academy’s Center for Financing, Fundamental and Applicative Researches, has told IPN that the goal of the event is to popularize science and to emphasize the results achieved by 400 Moldovan researchers during a year.

For a night, the square of the Academy of Sciences will become a scientific town divided into six quarters, according to scientific research fields. Every quarter will present the scientific results obtained by Moldovan researchers during a year. Simultaneously, the visitors will be able to take part in such events as book, art and archeology exhibitions and demonstrations of chemical apparatus. There will be continuous interaction of the scientific world with society, said Elena Zamsa.

The Researchers Night is an event that celebrates science in over 300 European towns. It is organized within the project MORE4U.
