Public consultations on Chisinau municipality's budget for 2025 started on Tuesday. Thus, Chisinau City Hall officials estimate revenues of almost 8.5 billion lei and expenditures of more than 9.1 billion lei next year, IPN reports.
Thus, in terms of expenditures, more than 4 billion lei will be invested in education, and 2 billion lei - for programs related to the development of economy and infrastructure.
"Given that the prices of natural gas have been increased significantly, we understand very well that the prices of other services will increase later, and we will have to adjust, we will have to change these parameters. Unfortunately, in the Road Fund we have a decrease compared to the parameters transmitted in August, although we know very well that prices are increasing from one day to the next, which means that we will have much less allocations for the repair and maintenance of roads for the Chisinau municipality, where most economic agents in the country are concentrated, where more than 70% of the total income in the country is generated", said the deputy mayor of the capital, Olga Ursu.
At the same time, according to the project, two billion will be spent on household management, sanitation and landscaping works, street lighting.
