Romanian citizen arrested for procuring in Moldova

A man aged 21 from Romania was placed under arrest for 30 days on procuring charges. He is accused of recruiting Moldovan girls to prostitute themselves in the Romanian municipality Constanta. The accused persuaded girls aged 19 and 20 to provide sexual services for €700 – €1 000 a week, IPN has learned from the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases.

The young man was arrested when he was transporting two young women from Chisinau municipality to Romania.

He got acquainted with girls and persuaded them to prostitute themselves. He also gave them money for making passports and then negotiated all the details of the activity in Romania and organized their transportation to destination.

The young man faces four to seven years in jail in the criminal case started in Moldova over procuring.
