The civil aviation administration of Russia banned the travelers from getting onto a plane with personal hygiene objects and liquid medicines in hand baggage. All these items must be transported exclusively by hold baggage that is checked with special devices to see if they do not contain explosives. The additional security measures are taken in order to prevent terrorist attacks on board, IPN reports, quoting the official website of the Russian authority.
The passengers who need medicines permanently can present them to the security service for a check and then can take them in the hand baggage. Earlier, the travelers could take liquid medicines in containers of at most 100 ml in the hand baggage.
