The Health Division of Chisinau municipality suggests creating an Emergency Admissions Department at “Saint Trinity” Hospital, similar to that existing at the Children’s Hospital “Valentin Ignatenko”. The decision is to be taken by the Chisinau Municipal Council, which hasn’t yet approved the 2013 budget. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, Health Division head Luminita Suveica said that 2.2 million lei is needed to start the works. Under the project, the new department will substitute the Hospitalization Section. There will be created the conditions needed for emergency examinations. The equipment will be bought within the project of the Japan International Cooperation Agency that will offer €10 million for the purpose. During January 8-16, a Moldovan delegation had been in Japan and negotiated a lending agreement for €53 million for endowing five hospitals and eleven public health centers of Moldova with modern equipment. The agreement is to be signed by the end of this May. The concessional loan is repayable in 30 years, with a grace period of 10 years and an interest rate of 0.1% a year.
