Sheriff to meet Olympique Marseille in Europa League

Sheriff had bad luck at the draw for the Europa League play-offs. The Moldovan champions will play against renowned French outfit Olympique de Marseille, Info-Prim Neo reports. The first leg is scheduled for August 23 in Tiraspol and the second will be played a week later in France. The winner of the tie will qualify for the Europa League groups. Sheriff reached the group stage in 2009 and 2010. Sheriff will head into the fixture with a new coach after today Serbian gaffer Milan Milanovic and his assistant Zvonko Radic were sacked. The club board took this decision after Sheriff were eliminated in the third preliminary round of the Champions League by Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb. So far, the board haven’t appointed a replacement.
