Skier Urs Imboden ranks 14th at World Champs

The sportsmen who represented Moldova at the Alpine World Ski Championships in Germany achieved good results. On the last day of the competition on February 20, Swiss skier Urs Imboden finished 14th in slalom among 100 competitors, Info-Prim Neo reports. Initially, Imboden was the 23rd, but was much more successful in the second part of the race. Georg Lindner did not go through to the final in slalom. He ranked the 57th. Italian athlete Mirko Deflorian, who represents Moldova, competed in four events. He finished 33rd in downhill, 14th in super combined, but abandoned giant slalom and super giant slalom. Christophe Roux was sidelined by an injury. For the first time in the history of the winter sports, Moldova had three representatives at the Alpine World Ski Championships.
