Students sketch ideal university

A number of Moldovan students have sketched their own “ideal university” in which they would like to study. The scenario of the “ideal university” was drafted by 70 representatives from 12 higher education institutions from Moldova at a summer school, Info-Prim Neo reports. The participants held a news conference on Wednesday to state they had tried to mold an Ideal University by studying the higher education system in Moldova. The summer school consisted of a series of seminars related to informal education, exchange of experience between students from different universities from the country and abroad, meant to simulate the individual development of students. The students have learnt to write CVs and motivation letters, to negotiate, to attend interviews, to develop the leader skills and work in teams. The participants in the summer school say the right to information is most often violated in the Moldovan universities, followed by the right to free speech, to assembly. The summer school called “the Ideal University” was held by the Students Alliance from 4 through 9 August. The project was funded by the US Embassy to Moldova.
