Television woman Ecaterina Ichim-Căldarii collected documentary data about the roots of her family and incorporated them into a volume entitled “Flight Moments”. Besides the life tree, the book includes poems and lyrics written by her, IPN reports.
In the book launch at the National Library on February 7, the author said she chose to launch the volume the day she turns 70 so as to have all her relatives near. “The life tree is a kind of homage rendered to my parents who gave life to me. I am who I am due to them,” she stated.
Attending the event, singer Veronica Văluţă-Bantaş said she became a person of art owing to Ecaterina Ichim-Căldarii as well. She has two songs whose words were written by Ecaterina in her repertoire.
Folk music singer Ileana Țurcanu, who forms part of the life tree, said the volume is a very nice accomplishment for their whole nation. “We are very glad that we have such a great event in the family as we must know out past, our roots,” she stated.
The book “Flight Moments” was issued in 200 copies. In 2005, Ecaterina Ichim-Căldarii lunched a poetry book titled “Flower in Autumn”.
