In connection with the central administration reform, staff limits will be reduced for the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, under a proposed document that has been submitted for public consultation on www.particip.gov.md, IPN reports.
At the Ministry of Finance, the existing 38 territorial treasuries will be optimized into 5 regional treasuries. Also it will take over from the Ministry of Labor the duty of developing policies on public sector salaries. Overall, the Ministry of Finance’s staff will be limited to 475 compared to 540 at present.
Following reorganization, the Ministry of the Interior’s central apparatus will have a staff limit of 138 compared to 158 at present.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research will absorb the current Ministry of Education and Ministry of Youth and Sport. The Ministry will have 121 employees to staff its administration, twelve divisions, three sections and four services; compared to the over 300 employees of the three extinct ministries.
Last week, the Ministry of Justice published a draft Government Decision proposing an increment of its central apparatus’s staff limit from 141 to 160. A day later the proposal was replaced, reducing the staff limit to 133.
