Three persons apply for post of prosecutor general

Three persons have submitted applications for the post of prosecutor general by March 14, by 3pm. The deadline for submissions is March 15, the selection commission’s chairman Corneliu Gurin has told Info-Prim Neo. Applications have been filed by former employee of the Ministry of the Interior Boris Muravschi, ex-prosecutor Tudor Suveica, and lawyer Ilie Rotaru, who earlier ran for the post of head of state. In three days of the deadline, the selection commission will come together to decide on the admissibility of the candidates’ applications, to approve the list of contenders and to announce the next stage of the contest. The post of prosecutor general fell vacant after Valeriu Zubco tendered his resignation following the tragic hunting incident in the Domneasca Forest.
