Vadim Krasnoselski, the de facto leader of Transnistria, thinks the time is appropriate for the region to start a Covid booster program, the local press reported.
According to local reports, Transnistria over the last weekend held its second vaccination marathon for rural areas, which covered 92 areas.
To date, 108,595 Transnistrian residents have been fully vaccinated.
Under a decision of the Moldovan Ministry of Health, vaccinated citizens from Transnistria who wish to travel abroad can approach the closest vaccination center on the western side of the Nistru to solicit a vaccination certificate.
Since the start of the vaccination campaign on March 2, Moldova (Transnistria excluded) has administered 1,486,884 doses.
