The head of the Center for Combating Cybercrime of the National Investigations Inspectorate Eugeniu Moraru considers the legislation on online porn video chats must be amended as the phenomenon is developing, while the fines are too low and cannot combat it, IPN reports.
In a news conference, Eugeniu Moraru said the fine is 400 lei, but the financial resources used to identify the culprits are much larger.
Eugeniu Moraru also said that in many states the adult chats were legalized, like in Romania, which annually collects incomes of €20 million this way. When minors are involved, such an activity becomes a serious offense, which is punished severely, even with life imprisonment.
