Five new ambulances outfitted with modern equipment will be distributed to five national medical institutions. The vehicles were donated by the Government of Turkey to the Ministry of Health of Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Nicolae Frunza, vice director of the National Clinical Hospital, said that the five ambulances contain apparatuses for artificial respiration and equipment for monitoring the cardiovascular system. They cost over €230,000.
Three of the ambulances will be used by the hospitals in Gagauzia, Vulcanesti and Balti, while two by the National Clinical Hospital in Chisinau. “The medical institutions of Moldova have waited for these vehicles for a long time,” said Minister of Health Andrei Usatyi.
In Moldova there are 333 ambulances, 100 of which are in a bad state.
