U-17 football team close to medals at international tournament

Moldova's national Under-17 football team drew 1-1 with Latvia's squad in an international tournament held in Minsk, Belarus, Info-Prim Neo reports. Moldova opened the score in the 67th minute through Igor Dima. Latvia tied six minutes later through Emils Karklins. Thus, Moldova ranked third in group B and will compete with Ukraine or Lithuania for the third positron on Saturday, January 16. Moldova coach Sergiu Cleshchenko used the following players: Railean, Jardan (Covtun, 45), Bivol, Rata, Dima, Marza, Malai, Patic (Iurcu, 35), Modarca, Bazarov, Turcan. In the first two matches, Moldova beat Azerbaijan 1-0 and lost to Russia 0-2.
