The length of an unplanned interruption in the public water supply services cannot exceed 12 hours in urban areas and 10 hours in rural ones. In the case of sewerage services, the interruptions cannot be longer than 8 hours in towns and cities and 6 hours in villages. This is provided in the regulations concerning the quality indicators of the public water supply and sewerage service that were published in the February 24 number of the Official Gazette, IPN reports.
The length of a planned interruption in the public water supply and sewerage service cannot exceed 48 hours in the case of repair of pipe sections and 12 hours in case of laying, connection/disconnection and relocation of water main sections in apartment buildings, installation and removal of water meters. In case of delays, the operator additionally informs the consumers about the extension of the planned interruption by explaining the necessity of the prolongation.
Under the regulations, the consumers can submit complaints to the operation about the quality of the water supply and sewerage service. The personnel of the operation must examine and deal with these by travelling to the scene within two workdays of the day the application is registered.
