The initiative group in support of Vasile Tarlev, designated by the Party for the Future of Moldova, presented the subscription lists with signatures to the Central Election Commission. The CEC has seven days to verify the submitted documents and subscription lists, IPN reports.
In total, the Commission registered 13 initiative groups in support of candidates for the office of President. The subscription lists with signatures are to be presented by September 20. Renato Usatyi, the leader of the Political Party “Our Party”, submitted the signatures to the CEC on Thursday.
The National Alternative Movement applied to the CEC to be registered as a participant in the national constitutional referendum of October 20 with the option “YES”. According to MAN leader Ion Ceban, mayor of Chisinau, the party will carry out an information campaign about the referendum, its role and why citizens should vote in it.
The CEC so far registered nine political parties as participants in the constitutional referendum of October 20. Applications can be submitted by September 20.
