Moldovan footballer, Victor Golovatenco won’t play in the Russian Premier League, despite signing for FC Krasnodar this winter. The 26 year old defender had to annul his contract for unknown reasons. Golovatenco ended up at FC Sibir, according to the Novosibirsk-based club’s official website. He joined his new team in the training camp in Turkey. He has been called up for Moldova’s match against Sweden on March 29, within the Euro 2012 qualifiers. In 2010, Golovatenco captained FC Kuban Krasnodar to promotion to the Russian Premier League. Because of some management issues, he couldn’t extend his contract with the club coached by Romanian Dan Petrescu and Moldovan Emil Caras. At the beginning of the year, the Moldovan international was close to signing for Alania Vladikavkaz, but rejected the offer.
