Viorel Topa, Razvan Paveliu questioned at Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office

Businessman Viorel Topa was questioned as a suspect, while the former head of TV 2 Plus channel Razvan Paveliu as a suspect in a case over use of forged documents for opening a bank account at Victoriabank and money laundering. On September 1, they were quizzed at the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office for several hours. Viorel Topa is also investigated as a suspect in a case over misappropriation, Info-Prim Neo reports. Razvan Paveliu and Viorel Topa deny the accusations, saying they are framed by businessman Vlad Plahotniuc. “Plahotniuc threatened us with legal action and kept his word,” Topa said after the questioning. Razvan Paveliu said the accusations made against him are part of an orchestrated campaign that was started when he got involved in the Mocanu-Plahotniuc scandal and wanted to make disclosures. He added he was followed by several cars during two weeks. Both Viorel Topa and Razvan Paveliu accused businessman Vlad Plahotniuc of corruption.
