Visas are needed for seven of the eight tourist destinations preferred by the Moldovans. Senior specialist of the Tourism Agency’s Information Service Tatiana Mumji has told IPN that of the eight destinations visas are not required only for Ukraine, IPN reports.

Most of the Moldovans who travelled abroad in the first half of this year went to vacation and amuse themselves. The largest number of Moldovans travelled to Bulgaria (33.9%), Turkey (32.9%), Romania (11.7%), Greece (5.9%), Ukraine (3.7%), Egypt (2.2%), the United Arab Emirates (1.2%), and Austria (1.0%).

In five of the seven states for which visas are needed, applications for visas can be submitted to tour operators. The average price of a visa is €30-35. For Greece and Austria, for which Schengen visas are needed, the applicants must present themselves at the Common Visa Issuing Center. The visa tax is €35.

The lowest prices in the eight states preferred by the Moldovans this summer were in Ukraine (about €150), Bulgaria (€250), and Romania (€250-300). The costs included seven accommodation days, transport to and form, and meals for a person.
