Moldova's Prime Minister has written to his Norwegian counterpart Jens Stoltenberg to express his commiseration for the recent attacks in Oslo and Utoya Island, the Government's press service said in a press release, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. “It is with great sadness I found out about the attacks in Oslo and on the Island of Utoya. In these difficult moments, the people of Moldova are with the people of Norway, extending heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who were killed in the attacks. “The Moldovan Government firmly condemns these criminal acts against civilian population and reiterates its firm commitment to contribute to international efforts aimed at combating violence and actions against humanity. “Our thoughts and prayers are now with your government and the Norwegian people”, the letter reads. On Friday in the afternoon (July 22), a powerful explosion rocked central Oslo, Norway's capital. Several hours later, a gunman opened fire at a summer camp on Utoya Island. At least 91 people were killed and 90 other were injured in the attacks. Norwegian authorities are questioning a Christian fundamentalist over the attacks.
