Notary Olga Bondarciuc, who was put on the wanted list, was arrested in Belgium and will be extradited to the Republic of Moldova. Olga Bondarciuc is accused of falsifying public documents and of making false statements in the interests of a criminal organization that was created and led by Vladimir Plahotniuc, IPN reports, quoting the General Police Inspectorate.
Olga Bondarciuc, 44, had been wanted since June following an order made by the Ciocana branch of the Chisinau City Court.
She was arrested in Belgium following a request from the Interpol National Bureau in Chisinau. The same day, the Belgian authorities confirmed her arrest.
