The voters in the Republic of Moldova are disoriented and need a dialogue where they would not be passive listeners, but would take part in this discussion and would feel if the politician is sincere or not. Such a conclusion was reached by political analyst Corneliu Ciurea following an IMAS poll whose results were presented in Chisinau on March 12, IPN reports.
According to Corneliu Ciurea, the appearance of the Democratic leader Vladimir Plahotniuc in the rating concerning activity based on deeds deserves to be noted. “Here, the activity of the politician is important and we see that an increasing number of people consider that Vladimir Plahotniuc is active on the political arena,” he stated, adding that Prime Minister Pavel Filip goes up in polls easier as he is not the target of the opposition’s criticism.
As to the poll data about the geopolitical course, Corneliu Ciurea said the Eurasian Economic Union is not promoted as intensely as it seems. Not even the Socialists speak much about this.
Intellect Group director Ian Lisnevschi said that society has been permanently divided practically into two as regards the geopolitical factor. But the citizens started yet to see their future in the EU. “The voters of the right are trying to find their parties. Regrettably, the parties of the right focus more on a campaign aimed against someone,” he stated. According to Ian Lisnevschi, the parties cannot invoke the geopolitical course endlessly. “If they do not come with a plan of action, the voters will be disappointed”.
The poll was commissioned to the Institute for Marketing and Polls IMAS by the Democratic Party.
