The General Division of Education, Youth and Sport of the Chisinau Municipal Council received over 2,500 letters within the national literary contest for fifth-twelfth graders “Letter to mother”. There were selected 12 winners who will receive money awards of 2,000 lei for the first place, of 1,500 lei for the second place and of 1,000 lei for the third place, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the Division, the works of the students were coded. The commissions assessed over 2,000 works in the Romanian language and about 500 works in the Russian language. To stimulate the teachers, there will be awarded the most active 20 managing teachers and 20 education institutions. Other awards will be also offer to another 30 schools and 30 teachers.
The Award Gala will take place on April 25.
