This year the budget-funded employees will have only 9 official nonworking days instead of 13 as a number of public holidays fall on Sunday. May 1 coincides with Easter, while May 9 coincides with Low Sunday. August 27 and December 25 fall on a Saturday and a Sunday.
According to the legislation, except for Sundays and Saturdays, nonworking days are also: January 1, January 8, March 8, Easter and the next day, the Monday that comes one week after Easter (Low Sunday), May 1 and May 9, August 27 and August 31, and December 25.
