The State Hydrometeorology Service has extended the yellow code warning for high temperatures. The heat will persist and daytime temperatures on August 14 will rise to 33 degrees Celsius and over, IPN reports.
The temperatures on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are expected to fall to 15 degrees Celsius at night and 26 degrees Celsius during the day. But they will go up again starting with August 18, when thermometers will show 30 degrees Celsius during the day.
On dog days, the people are recommended to keep out of direct sunlight, drink as much water as possible and stay in the shadow. The high temperatures endanger the health of children and persons suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
