131,000 ballots to be printed for November 21 local elections

The Central Election Commission started to print ballots for the new local elections of November 21, 2021. A total of 130,917 ballots will be printed for the 15 localities. For the first time in the current elections, the national coat of arms and the Commission’s emblem were placed on the upper part of the ballot, IPN reports.

For the mayoral elections in the municipality of Bălți, there will be printed 102,105 ballots, 51,988 of which will be in Romanian, while 50,117 will be in Russian. These are printed on matte violet paper and are 322 mm long and 140 mm wide.

As many as 28,812 ballots will be printed for the mayoral elections in the other 14 localities. Out of these, 24,538 will be in Romanian, while 4,274 will be in Russian. These are printed on matte pink paper and are 165 mm in length and 140 mm in width.

The price of a ballot is 0.198 lei, while the total value of the print run is 25,921.57 lei.

New local mayoral elections on November 21 will be held in 15 settlements of Moldova.
