CNAM will be able to contract all outpatient dialysis service providers, draft

Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection (MSMPS) has developed and proposes for public consultations a draft decision that will allow the National Medical Insurance Company (CNAM) to contract all outpatient dialysis service providers to render services to patients admitted to the health insurance system. The announced purpose of the initiated amendments is "to eliminate exclusivity in the provision of dialysis services".

MSMPS specifies that by de facto establishing the monopoly in favour of the private partner, by the previous decision of the Government, the rights of patients to choose the medical services provider in the field of ambulatory dialysis are undermined.

MSMPS deems it necessary to revise the objectives and conditions of the public-private partnership for dialysis services. Also, the general requirements regarding the selection of the private partner.
