The exports of apricots from the Republic of Moldova increased 4.5 times during one year, said Deputy Prime Minister Dumitru Alaiba, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. A number of 821 tonnes of apricots were exported in January-June 2023, while in the same period of this year the figure grew to 3,689 tonnes, IPN reports.
Most of the apricots were exported to Ukraine, Romania and Poland, Dumitru Alaiba noted, emphasizing that more and more products are finding their place on European markets.
“This is the merit, first of all, of entrepreneurs – those who find opportunities in any crisis and adapt to face the challenges,” said the minister.
