Federation intends to give vote of no confidence to Confederation of Trade Unions
The Premier designate Vlad Filat will hold discussions with the vice president of the National Confederation of Trade Unions Petru Chiriac before the investiture of the new Government. Chirac participated in the meeting between Vlad Filat and representatives of the civil society, business and banking circles, producers and investors, trade unions and employers, youth, etc. Vlad Filat reacted to Petru Chiriac’s speech about the improvement of the situation of all the social sections saying he wants a separate discussion on the situation of the trade unions in Moldova, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The discussions will center on the arguments that arouse inside the National Confederation of Trade Unions. The president of the Federation of Transporters and Road Workers Trade Unions of Moldova Boris Rojnevski warned the Confederation about a vote of no confidence that will be given to it in connection with the management of property and its position based on group interests and demanded that the Confederation's Board comes together for a meeting to discuss the multiple problems that appeared inside the National Confederation of Trade Unions.
Boris Rojnevski accuses the Confederation of lack of collegiality, transparency and mutual respect. He says that the Confederation's apparatus is maintained inclusively from the incomes of the trade unions at a time when the sectoral trade unions have unequal access to these funds, surviving owing to the trade union dues.
Rojnevski also said that the administration of the Confederation ignores the numerous requests to review the conditions of transferring dues to the National Confederation of Trade Union from the sums collected by the sectoral trade unions, not from the total sum. At the same time, the dues for this year were fixed not taking into account the consequences of the economic crisis. The sectoral trade unions continue to finance the sanatoriums and spas that become more isolated from them.
The president of the Federation of Transporters and Road Workers Trade Unions says that the Confederation avoids presenting information about the property owned by the trade unions to its colleagues. “There is no transparency as regards the amounts in bank accounts and the accumulated interest, the rental revenues and the incomes from the sale of the property.”
Leonid Manea , the preside of the National Confederation of Trade Unions, has been at a trade union school in Saint Petersbourg together with over 20 trade unionists for 20 days. Sources in Sergheevka town have told Info-Prim Neo that the only sanatorium for children called “Speranta” was sold by the Confederation at a very low price.
