Final vote on bill regarding public goods that cannot be privatized

The Parliament gave a second, final reading to the draft law to amend the annex to the Law on administration and privatization of public property. The document contains the list of public property that is not subject to privatization, which was compiled on the basis of proposals formulated by the central and local public authorities, IPN reports.

Radu Marian, chairman of the Parliament’s commission on economy, budget and finance, said that the state-owned enterprises and state-owned companies will be grouped into five categories. These are non-privatizable enterprises, enterprises recommended for reorganization into another legal form of organization, enterprises subject to privatization after reorganization, enterprises recommended for immediate privatization and enterprises recommended for liquidation.

The annex contains a series of enterprises and companies with state-owned capital selected by the commission for being screened.

The bill was drafted by the Public Property Agency.
