The Finnish authorities decided to temporarily close the checkpoints Nuijamaa, Imatra, and Niirala situated on the border with Russia. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova said the measure takes effect on November 18 and will be in force until February 18, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry, the frontier posts Vartius and Salla on the border between Finland and Russia remain operational.
