The Moldovan Government has pledged to contribute to the festivities marking the 100th anniversary of the Moldovan football. A collaboration agreement to this effect was signed on Tuesday by Prime Minister Vlad Filat with Pavel Cebanu, the president of the Moldovan Football Federation, Info-Prim Neo reports. The centenary of the Moldovan football will be celebrated during August 9-11. “We will assist the Federation not only logistically, but also with whatever is needed”, promised Vlad Filat. Pavel Cebanu, for his part, said the Federation relied greatly on the Government's assistance, without which the festivities wouldn't reach the expected level. The festivities will be attended by over 50 guests from 25 European countries. The celebrations will culminate on August 11 with a friendly match between Moldova and Georgia.
