High tonnage vehicles without proper equipment kept away from national roads
The high tonnage vehicles with a weight of over 3.5 tonnes, which are not equipped according to season conditions, cannot move along the national roads. According to the Traffic Police Division, the restrictions are temporary and are dictated by the unstable weather conditions, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The Traffic Police call on the persons who drive such units of transport to refrain from traveling on the national road and to get acquainted with the advisories issued by the State Hydrometeorology Service and SA Drumuri before setting off,” it is said in a press release issued by the Traffic Police Division.
The Traffic Police recommend the traffic participants to be prudent and to comply with the legal requirements so as to avoid blocking the traffic.
The State Hydrometeorology Service issued a yellow code warning for the period between December 13 and 15. There will ice on roads all over the country.
