International Society for Human Rights concerned with social integration of former Moldovan detainees
The International Society for Human Rights (ISHR) – Moldavian Section will hold two seminars in Ungheni between October 20 and 23. The seminars are organized as part of the New Approach to Poverty Reduction in Moldova – Joint Efforts by NGOs and Local Authorities Project and are intended for specialists of the local public administration (October 20-22) and representatives of the civil society (October 21-23), Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the organization.
“The representatives of the local public administration can cooperate very efficiently with the civil society in reducing poverty. I think these seminars will help better understand the problems faced by the former detainees and how they can be helped. Twenty seminars will be organized as part of the project,” said Liubov Nemcinova, the head of the Moldavian Section of the ISHR
She also said that the first seminars were held in Cahul, Soroca and Chisinau in September. As part of the same project, 300 women detainees from Rusca will benefit from psychological assistance and professional training. 100 of them will be also offered legal assistance, while 48 will attend free hairdresser courses.
