Man faces jail term for attempting to ‘buy’ driver’s license

A man from Criuleni was arrested after he tried to ‘purchase’ a driver’s license. He offered €350 to a member of the examination commission for helping him pass the driving test and get a driver’s license of category B, IPN reports.

According to press officer of the National Anticorruption Center Victoria Timus, the man was caught red-handed by officers of the Center. The case was reported through the Center’s national anticorruption line by the inspector whom the man tried to bribe.

The man admitted his guilt and is investigated outside prison. He faces up to six years in jail and a fine of 100,000 to 200,000 lei.
