A 45-year-old man was sentenced to 12 years in a closed prison for nonconsensual sexual intercourse and rape. Being under the influence of alcohol, he systematically raped his 20-year-old stepdaughter, who became pregnant, IPN reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, it happened between January and February 2022. He threatened the victim with physical assault and murder for her not to make disclosures.

The actions took place while the victim’s mother was working abroad. When the woman returned home from abroad, she noticed that her daughter was pregnant and the latter told her what happened. The woman notified the police.

The defendant pleaded guilty.
